Phu Quoc welcomes first direct flight from India

(VOVWORLD) -The first direct flight from Mumbai, India, to Vietnam's resort island of Phu Quoc by Vietjet Air landed at Phu Quoc International Airport, on Friday. The second flight from New Delhi will arrive in Phu Quoc on Saturday.

Dinh Viet Phuong, Managing Director of  Vietjet Air, said that the Phu Quoc-Mumbai route will operate four weekly flights every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Phu Quoc and New Delhi service commences with three weekly flights on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. 

The new flight routes from Indian cities to Phu Quoc and vice versa creates opportunities for tourism development and economic cooperation between the two countries, and helps passengers easily connect to other countries in the region such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
